The Rotary Badge, Shield and Star Dinner is back this year and with a new name.
The event is now known as the Community Safety & Service Awards Dinner. The Chair of the dinner, Rick Peddle, says the change was done in an attempt to include more first responders.
The Chief of the Lac La Longe Indian Band will be the guest speaker and provide an overview of the 2025 wildfire fighting effort in the various communities..
The event is intended to celebrate and say thank you to the service providers and first responders in the city. Currently the event receives support from the Kinsmen Club of Saskatoon, Rotary Club of Saskatoon, as well as the police, fire, ambulance and air ambulance.
The dinner is being hosted at Prairieland this upcoming Tuesday.
People can still purchase tickets online for the dinner. Most of the purchase price will be eligible for a tax receipt.
