During the Queermunity Theatre Race, Artistic Director Heather Cant says teams will receive an inspiration package, and they then have two days to put together a ten-minute play that will be put on display this Saturday.
“It’s an incredibly good time. It’s been so wonderful to see people’s creativity come to life under that kind of pressurized circumstance…It’s so much fun to watch.”
All ticket proceeds raised go to Pride Home, a six-bedroom supported housing initiative run by OUT Saskatoon, offering 2SLGBTQ+ youth aged a safe environment.
“The Queermunity Theatre Festival is an opportunity for us to celebrate pride through theatre, through art making with queer artists, but also with allies.”
The performances go at 7:30 p.m. at Persephone Theatre. The event is happening in celebration of Pride Month.
