The first two-to-three weeks of May were on pace to be colder than normal, due to a pair of cold snaps running from May 3rd to May 7th and then again from May 15th to May 21st.
It all changed with a major heatwave during the final week of the month with daytime temperatures in the low-to-mid thirties. Moose Jaw, Meadow Lake and Swift Current all ended up more than two degrees warmer than normal.

May precipitation was variable with western locations tending to be above normal with the far north below normal.
