A man was fined $809 on Saturday after speeding down Valley Road because he was ‘late for golf’.
At 6:30 p.m., Corman Park Police Service clocked the vehicle travelling at 51 km/hr over the posted speed limit.
A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was found to have a small amount of alcohol in his system.
He was also traveling with both opened and unopened containers of alcohol. On top of the heafy ticket, his alcohol was seized and destroyed. The vehicle was then impounded for 30 days, and the driver’s licence was suspended for a week.
