To celebrate 80 years of business, Saskatchewan Blue Cross is awarding grants to 80 organizations across the province.
The money will support an event or program that each organization delivers regarding some form of wellness.
Blue Cross President & CEO Kelly Wilson says getting to 80 years was a team effort.
“Eighty years is an amazing milestone, and we’re so proud of it and couldn’t have done it on our own. So, we are very grateful for our employees, past and present, all of our partners, our clients, our members, and our community partners.”
In honour of the 80-year milestone, Blue Cross employee Hillarie Wilson painted a mural on the north side of the Blue Cross building. It’s visible when heading into downtown on 2nd Avenue.
Some examples of organizations that are receiving grants include the Do More Agriculture Foundation for a Talk, Ask, Listen mental health literacy workshop, and Ronald McDonald House Charities -Saskatchewan for children’s programming, caregiver Support, wellness and therapy initiatives.
