The Lloydminster RCMP have received several reports of vehicles being damaged in a similar way.
Each time, a window is broken to gain entry in an attempt to steal the vehicle, and so far all the vehicles have been Hyundai models.
The RCMP are advising the public to take preventative measures to reduce your risk of becoming a victim of this type of crime.
The complete list is below.
Anyone with information about the attempted vehicle thefts, or if you have dash camera footage or surveillance footage that indicates a crime, contact the Lloydminster RCMP.
• Consider steering column lock mechanisms (ie/‘The Club’);

• Consider installing surveillance security cameras on your personal property where the vehicle is parked;
