The 24th annual Dogs' Breakfast on Thursday, April 30th, 2026
Early morning risers got to experience another successful Dogs’ Breakfast at Prairieland Thursday morning. The announced attendance of 1,400 helped raise over $140,000 for the Huskies Football program, with the funds going toward scholarships for student-athletes, including the 25 new recruits that graced the stage to receive their jersey for the first time. Also gracing the stage Thursday was Michael “Pinball” Clemons, sharing stories from his playing days, as well as connecting with the players and how important scholarships are, using his college experience as an example.
To date, the Dogs’ Breakfast has raised over $2.5 million dollars and has handed out over 700 scholarships. The event also serves as the official kickoff to football season with Huskies Spring camp beginning this weekend and concluding with a full-scrimmage open to the public at 11 a.m. on Sunday. Saskatchewan Roughriders rookie camp also begins next week at Griffiths Stadium, followed by main camp opening on Sunday, May 10th with the highly anticipated pre-season match against Winnipeg on Saturday, May 23rd, the first contest to be held in Saskatoon since 1991.
Following are interviews from the conclusion of the Dogs’ Breakfast with Huskies Head Coach Scott Flory and Pinball Clemons……
