Two men have been arrested and charged with several firearms-related charges following a Prince Albert Police Service (PAPS) investigation involving firearms at a residence on the city’s west side.
According to a PAPS news release, members of the Criminal Reduction Team (CRT) last month determined that 35-year-old Jefferson Jobb, known to police and wanted on outstanding warrants for being unlawfully at large, was residing at a home in the 1600 block of 13th Street West. Then, earlier this month, investigators determined that Jobb was in possession of a firearm and had returned to the residence. A Criminal Code search warrant was obtained for the residence yesterday (Thursday) and executed by the CRT, as well as the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and RCMP ERT due to the elevated risk involved with the situation. Not long after being in position, Jobb and six other individuals exited the residence and were taken into custody without incident. One youth was taken into the care of Social Services while the other six adults were transported to PAPS. Police seized a semi-automatic, sawed-off 12-gauge shotgun, 30 grams of cocaine and two air-powered handguns (pictured). Jobb and 39-year-old Timothy Iron face several firearms-related charges and Jobb was additionally charged with possession of cocaine.
