The City of Saskatoon says there was 15 centimetres of snow in the city from the latest storm and has subsequently declared a snow event.
There are 24 graders, 10 sanders and four plows working to clear snow from priority streets like freeways, arterial roads and collector streets. Six sidewalk plows have also been deployed.
The City of Saskatoon says snow clearing activities will focus on driving lanes and warmer temperatures this afternoon and tomorrow will shorten the clean-up period as the snow melts.
Showers are forecast for later next week which is expected to change to snow for the end of the week.
While the City of Saskatoon says 15 cm, Environment Canada says Saskatoon saw 6 cm of snow. That was the official weather station measurement. Environment and Climate Change Canada weather stations also indicate 15 centimetres of snow in Kindersley, and 9 centimetres in Regina.
Reports from social media indicate Eatonia received 48 centimetres, Moose Jaw 18, Pilot Butte and Wolsley at 10 centimetres.
