After the latest MP crossed the House to the Liberals, the Liberal party is only one seat away from majority and there are three ridings going to the polls Monday potentially bringing that majority to reality.
Two of the byelections are in Liberal strongholds that being University Rosedale and Scarborough Southwest in Ontario. They were left vacant after Chrystia Freeland and Bill Blair resigned.
And the Terrebonne, Quebec riding was left empty after the Supreme Cour invalidated last year’s election result.
Four Conservatives have crossed the floor to join the Liberal Party including Chris d’Entremont, Michael Ma, Matt Jeneroux, and most recently Marilyn Gladu. In addition, Lori Idlout, an NDP MP, crossed the House to join the Liberals.
