Tickets are going fast for this year’s Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation Jeans and Jewels Gala.
Jada Kook with the Foundation says last year, the event raised a record $360,000 in support of maternal and children’s health care across Saskatchewan.
“It’s a great night, it’s fun, there’s dancing, and you get to hear some of the inspiring stories from the kids.”
She adds that the theme of the night is tacky tourist, which calls for attendees can break out their Hawaiian shirts, brightest florals and favourite over-the-top beach accessories.
“Dr. Strangelove is a band out of Vancouver, and they’re going to bring lots of fun beachy tunes and cover songs to the stage this year.”
For those who can’t make an appearance, an online silent auction is going live a week before the event on May 1st.
The event takes place at Prairieland on May 8th. Tickets are available at pattisonchildrens.ca.
