The Riversdale Art Walk runs tomorrow and will give people the chance to see a great selection of art exhibitions in the community.

Carrie Catherine from Shift Development says that the Riversdale Art Walk will feature a variety of events and activities for people to see and try out.

“We’ve got over 15 venues. Businesses, art galleries, studios. Artists are opening their doors and all at the same time hosting art exhibitions, interactive experiences. You can come and see art in some, at Christina’s Art and Soul you can actually paint. There’s all sorts of interactive experiences, there’s even a live fire performance at 7:30.”

She adds that people can take in the event any way they want, though she encourages them to check out all the venues as they all have something unique.

“As people come, they can meander according to their own route through the neighbourhood. The maps are at riversdaleartwalk.com you can download it or they’ll be in the venues. Choose your own adventure, but be sure to hit every one.”

Catherine says that tomorrow’s art walk is not the only one planned for this year.

“These art walks are going to be a series. We’re going to do another one in June, another one in September and we just grow and grow as we do more of them.”

The Riversdale Art Walk runs from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The event is free for anyone to attend.
