Scalloped Potatoes
Ingredients: 2 lbs russet or yukon gold potatoes, thinly sliced
2 cups heavy cream
2 cups sharp cheddar cheese
grated 3 cloves garlic minced
4 tbsp unsalted butter, sliced
salt and pepper to taste
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
Directions:
Step 1 Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a medium baking dish.
Step 2 Wash and peel the potatoes, then slice them thinly using a knife or mandoline.
Step 3 In a bowl, combine heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
Step 4 Layer potato slices in the baking dish; pour some cream mixture over each layer and sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
Step 5 After layering all ingredients, top with panko breadcrumbs mixed with melted butter.
Step 6 Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes; remove foil and bake for an additional 30 minutes until golden brown.
