The Blaine Lake skating rink has officially been nominated for Kraft Hockeyville, sparking a wave of excitement across the community and the entire province. In a recent interview, Jim Puffalt, the Chief Administrative Officer for Blaine Lake, shared the journey of their nomination and how the town is rallying together to bring an NHL pre-season game and $250,000 to Saskatchewan.
To celebrate, the community is hosting a massive “Welcome to Our Community” party this Saturday afternoon at the skating rink, starting around 3:30 PM. Everyone is invited to enjoy some free hamburgers and a public skate while we host a watch party to see if Blaine Lake is named a finalist on Hockey Night in Canada.
