Four adults have been charged by Carrot River RCMP after methamphetamine and weapons were seized at four separate residences on Red Earth Cree Nation, following a traffic stop.
On March 17th, a traffic stop was conducted on Red Earth Cree Nation. The driver was arrested for impaired driving as well as possession of methamphetamine. The two passengers of the vehicle were detained after a search of the vehicle resulted in finding ammunition, a machete and two loaded air pistols. One of the passengers also possessed methamphetamine. The third passenger was released with no charges.
40-year-old Harlan Whitehead and 27-year-old Chad Head are each facing a variety of charges relating to weapon and drug possession.
Two more adults were arrested following the execution of search warrants at four separate residences on Red Earth Cree Nation that resulted in the seizure of 15 firearms, large quantities of drug trafficking paraphernalia, and multiple cell phones.
39-year-old Harla Whitehead and 34-year-old Harlos Whitehead are facing charges relating to weapons possession.
Harlan and Harla Whitehead, along with Chad Head, will appear in Melfort Provincial Court on March 26th. Harlos Whitehead will appear on April 23rd. Carrot River RCMP continue to investigate.
