The Saskatoon Police Service has arrested a 17-year-old male in connection to the city’s second homicide of 2026.
Around 12:30 a.m. this past Sunday police responded to a shooting in the 900 block of 22nd Street West in the Westmount neighbourhood.
A 49-year-old Saskatoon man was transferred to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The 17-year-old is charged with 2nd Degree Murder, Use of a Firearm While Committing and Indictable Offence and Possession of a Firearm While Prohibited.
