The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit has charged a Saskatoon man in connection to an investigation that began in December 2025.

Three months ago Waskesui RCMP initiated an investigation into a man being in possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation material. The Saskatchewan ICE Unit was requested to assist and an electronic device that was seized was then examined by ICE investigators.

As a result of the investigation, 30-year old Daylon John Bird of Saskatoon was charged on March 13, 2026 with Possessing Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Material as well as Accessing Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Material

He was released on court-imposed conditions and is back in Saskatoon Provincial Court on April 6th.
