The Saskatoon Fire Department says the fire was caused by a faulty e-bike battery and resulted in an estimated $1.5 million damage.
The blaze started in a battery testing room before spreading through the structure on the 700 block of Circle Drive East on Friday night.
It took fire crews until Saturday afternoon at 2:19pm to finally declare the fire under control. Lack of safe access to hot spots prolonged the response. A track-hoe was brought in on Saturday to know holes through the walls and allow water to be poured inside.
