That dump of snow in the southwest isn’t expected to last long.
Environment Canada has currently forecast a high of 23 degrees Celsius Wednesday and a high of 25 Thursday for Swift Current.
Environment Canada Scientist Christy Climenhaga says Moose Jaw, Leader, Maple Creek and further southwest will see temperatures that are the most unusual for this time of year.
For Saskatoon it’s much more pleasant after experiencing below normal weather in recent days. “Mid to higher single digits through the end of the week before we start to get a little bit more normal in terms of your temperatures. Temperatures kind of falling back to that normal range probably by the end of the weekend and into next week,” explains Climenhaga.
Climenhaga also says a significant warm up in temperatures could mean a slippery start to your day Tuesday possibly, because in addition to melting they are forecasting wet weather for much of Saskatchewan.
Normal high for this time of year in Saskatoon is plus-one-degree Celsius and in Prince Albert it is zero.
