The Saskatoon Fire Department hasn’t indicated the condition of a person found lying on the ice below the University Bridge.

They only say the call came in at 5:22 p.m. and when they arrived at the scene there were police vehicles on the bridge with the patient on the ice near open water.

A rescue boat was launched, and the patient was taken to shore and turned over to the car of Medavie ambulance personnel.
