Saskatoon Media Group’s own Clayton Kroeker was part of the cast for the 50th anniversary of Telemiracle and said, “When the Alice Tindall donation came in of like $2.3 million, not a dry eye in the house. No one knew that was coming even like on the production side, it was kind of kept a secret. It was mind blowing, just the whole experience. I’m so lucky to be part of it. I still can’t believe my first Telemiracle was Telemiracle 50, the big record-breaking year.”
Tindall died in 2023 at the age of 91, after a lifetime of supporting Telemiracle.
Kroeker says there more than 70 live acts from Saskatchewan who took part and the audience in Saskatoon was packed the entire time.
“So many live performances, so many great local Saskatchewan acts and when that final total came up there, it was incredible. It was amazing. People were loud but at the same time speechless, if that’s even possible.”
The final tally as the curtain went down on the golden anniversary of Telemiracle was a record breaking $10,521,072.
