An early Saturday morning domestic dispute in Saskatoon has resulted in the arrest of two youth males.
The two, aged 15 and 17, have been charged with careless storage of a firearm, possession of a firearm without a license and possession of ammunition without authorization. In a news release, the Saskatoon Police Service says the arrests came after officers were called to an apartment unit in the 400 block of 115th street East at about 12:50 a.m. on February 28. The report added that there was a domestic dispute involving a knife. Upon arrival, police located the involved parties and determined that the dispute was over a game and that no knife was present. However, as officers continued to investigate, a pump-action shot gun and ammunition were spotted on a bed. The 17-year-old was also charged with possession of a firearm while prohibited and failure to comply with court-imposed conditions.
