Lloydminster RCMP are investigating after they say a woman was assaulted while trying to stop a shoplifter.

In a news release RCMP say the alleged shoplifted used a wine bottle to hit the victim in the face and left the store. RCMP officers attended but were unable to locate the suspect. During the course of the investigation, CCTV footage was obtained.  The incident took place November 20th, 2025.
