The Coronach and Bengough RCMP are asking for the public’s help with their investigation into a stolen power pole from back on January 27.
According to a Saskatchewan RCMP news release, the Coronach and Bengough detachment received a report that morning of the theft with investigation determining that unknown individuals went onto a rural farm property, cut down a SaskPower power pole and removed it. The power pole had live power supply and was connected to a transformer. The theft meant the power in the area was disrupted for two hours while SaskPower crews worked to restore it. Police believe that once the pole was cut down, it was dragged through the farm yard into a field and likely loaded onto a truck and taken away since the power pole hasn’t been recovered. Anyone with information about this theft is asked to contact the Coronach and Bengough RCMP or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
