There will be an increased police presence in Love, Saskatchewan over the weekend after officers found two dead individuals on Thursday.

At 12:00 p.m., Nipawin RCMP received the report of two deceased individuals in a home. Officers arrived and identified the pair as a 77-year-old woman and an 81-year-old man, members of the same family.

RCMP say as a result of initial investigation, it is believed the 77-year-old woman died as a result of homicide and the 81-year-old man died from self-inflicted injuries.

The Homicide Investigation Unit continues to investigate, not seeking any additional suspects.
