An adult male has been charged after a firearm and ammunition were seized at a business in North Battleford.
The arrest was made after the Saskatchewan RCMP’s North Battleford Crime Reduction Team Gang Task Force executed a search warrant at a business on the Highway 16 bypass in North Battleford as part of an ongoing firearms investigation.
During the investigation, officers found one unsafely stored firearm and ammunition. Six individuals were arrested at the scene, but five were released without charge.
As a result of the investigation, 50-year-old Trebor Swindler of North Battleford was charged with one count each of unlawful possession of a non-restricted firearm and careless storage of a firearm.
Swindler appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court Friday. The investigation is ongoing.
