Saskatoon Police are investigating three robberies and bear spray incidents that took place Wednesday night.
Police were first called to a business in the 3000 block of Preston Avenue at 9:00 pm for a report of an attempted robbery. Investigation found that a group of people entered the business and asked to handle a product, which staff declined. A confrontation then occurred and resulted in bear spray being discharged by one of the group members. The group then fled.
Around 15 minutes later, a second incident took place in the 1800 block of McOrmond Drive. The suspects fled before police arrival, but it was determined that a group entered the business and upon viewing a product, bear sprayed an employee and stole the item.
The third incident was reported at around 10:45 pm in the 10 block of Assiniboine Drive. An investigation found that a man entered a business and discharged bear spray at an employee after being refused service.
All three incidents are believed to be related and police are continuing their investigation.
