Two sibling partnerships are the nominees for the Saskatchewan Outstanding Young Farmers Award.
Cashe and Beau Stevenson are the up-and-coming generation farming alongside their father and grandfather at Hi-Lite Feedlot in the Meskanaw area, not far from Melfort. The brothers run the cow herd side of the operation with the goal of finishing their own calves in the feedlot. The other nominee is a family combination involving two brothers and a sister at Osage in southeast Saskatchewan. Jordan Lynch, Keegan Lynch and Chansi Bourke are all involved with respective spouses. The Lynch Farm Partnership is a fourth generation farm that grows cereals, oilseeds and lentils on 12,000 acres.
The Saskatchewan Outstanding Young Farmers Award will be presented March 19th during Canada’s Farm Progress Show in Regina.

Cashe and Beau Stevenson are the up-and-coming generation farming alongside their father Jeff Stevenson and Grandpa Danny Stevenson at Hi-Lite Feedlot near Mesakanaw, in the Melfort area.
The feedlot is built at the top of a hill and from Highway 41 you can see the lights in the sky line, hence the name Hi-Lite. Although the feedlot was first built in 1979, it has been rebuilt many times since, and just recently in 2020, the endeavour to add some life back into it began as Beau and Cashe started their careers.
The feedlot has a current capacity of 4,500 head of feeder cattle, and the east side is used to winter and calve 500 cows. Beau and Cashe run the cow herd side of the operation with the goal of finishing their own calves in the feedlot.
The farm has 5,000 acres of grain land, and much of the marginal land is used to pasture the cow herd. Beau and Cashe are fourth generation farmers and have the privilege of learning much of what they know from their father and grandfather. Their goal is to try to make what they have better, by value-adding each part of their operation.
Lynch Farm Partnership (LFP) is a fourth generation, 12,000-acre cereal, oilseed and lentil farm based out of Osage in southeast Saskatchewan. It is jointly operated by Jordon and Dakota Lynch, Chansi and Patrick Bourke, and Keegan and Shelbi Lynch. The LFP team has been working hard on developing their farm through intensive succession business planning and incorporating innovation in their farming practices.
Jordon, his wife Dakota and their daughters(Amelia and London) live in Osage. Jordon received his diploma in Ag Business from the University of Saskatchewan in 2010. Shortly after graduating he went to New Zealand and farmed for 10 months on a grain and sheep farm learning many valuable lessons abroad. He returned to Osage and became a partner with his parents, Les and Deanne, in 2012 and they created Lynch Farm Partnership.
Chansi, her husband Patrick and their daughters (Hudson, Ivy and Sage) live in Osage. Chansi works off farm as an agronomist for Top Notch Farm Supply in Fillmore. She met her husband Patrick in 2010, an Australian who had come to Canada to work for her family friend’s farm and was only going to stay for “six months”. He fell in love with Saskatchewan and farming and started working for Lynch Farm Partnership when Chansi graduated. They officially joined the partnership in 2018.
Keegan and Shelbi and their daughters( Georgia and Macklyn) live in Sedley. Keegan originally became a journeyman plumber but came back to be part of the family farm with his siblings. Keegan joined the partnership in 2023 after Les and Deanne retired from the partnership.
