For a year and a half, from January 2024 to June 2025, an employee in the Lloydminster Roman Catholic School Division misappropriated funds. The information was contained in the report on public losses. The report says combined cash and use of a corporate purchase card for personal items totalled $16,161.
The matter was reported to RCMP, and the employee no longer works with the school division. So far the school division has recovered $10,341 and they say the former employee has committed to making payments to return the outstanding amount owed.
And in the Prairie South School Division from January to mid-September 2025, an employee used a cardlock gas card to make unauthorized gas purchases. The amount taken was $2,016. The individual is no longer employed by the school division, and the matter has been reported to police.
