Saskatoon Police have arrested a 31-year-old man in connection with a stabbing that occurred in the early morning hours of Saturday, January 24th.
There was a physical altercation between three men inside a restaurant and lounge in the 2200 block of 22nd Street West. One man fled while a 39-year-old victim was located at a home in the 200 block of Avenue W South. The man had serious injuries and was transported to hospital for treatment.
The 31-year-old suspect was spotted by patrol officers last Saturday (January 31st) getting into a taxi in the 200 block of St. Paul’s Place. Police reported finding a machete.
The man is charged with aggravated assault and two counts of possessing a dangerous weapon and two counts of carrying a concealed weapon.
