The University of Saskatchewan has received $450,000 in funding from PrairiesCan to support SIGMA, an interdisciplinary program that trains and develops future entrepreneurs.

The funding, which equates to $150,000 per year for three years will go towards the delivery of the SIGMA program, the Engineering Executive and Entrepreneur in Residence, and support of USask as a founding member of a partnership with the Martin Trust Center for Entrepreneurship at MIT through the Global Leadership Entrepreneurship Educators Network, an international collaboration meant to connect and improve the education of young entrepreneurs around the world.

USask says the funding will help to advance their entrepreneurial initiatives and turn their ideas into innovations that reach the marketplace.
