Prince Albert Police have charged a 29-year-old woman following a firearm incident on New Year’s Day.
At 9:06 p.m., police were called to the 900 block of 2nd Street East for a report of a man with a gun. They were told that the man was in a physical altercation with two women.
Police say video surveillance showed two women approach a suite door, and as it opened, an altercation occurred between the two women and the man. During the incident, a long-barreled firearm was present.
In a news release police say the man and two women returned to their respective suites and police report the women were observed to be in possession of the firearm.
The event was quickly categorized as a critical incident, and specialized resources were called to assist. All individuals exited the residence voluntarily, and a search warrant was subsequently executed, leading to the seizure of a .177 Caliber Air Rifle.
