Leader RCMP are working to identify a person who was captured on video near the scene of a suspicious residential fire. On November 22nd around 2:45 a.m., Leader RCMP received a report of a structure fire at a residence on Centre Street in Fox Valley.
RCMP and local firefighters responded. When officers arrived, the home was fully engulfed in flame. No one was living at the home at the time of the fire, which is believed to be suspicious in nature.
Leader RCMP collected footage of an individual, believed to be male, walking down the street in the direction of the home carrying a jerry can. Shortly after, the male is seen running in the opposite direction down the street. Video was also captured of the male in a truck. The truck is described as a mid-90’s to early 2000’s light grey/silver lifted pick-up truck.
At the time of the incident, the male was seen wearing dark coloured clothing, a face covering, and overalls. Click here for a link to the surveillance video.
RCMP also say they do not believe at this time that the house fire in Fox Valley is connected to the suspicious fire that destroyed a business in Leader in October.
Anyone with information is asked to contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
