Two men from Calgary have been arrested and face multiple charges following an RCMP search warrant at a residence on the Buffalo River Dene Nation last Thursday.
Deng Deng and Kuol Kuol, both aged 21, were arrested after Dillon RCMP, along with the Saskatchewan RCMP’s Meadow Lake Crime Reduction Team located and seized about 484 grams of cocaine, a large sum of cash, a loaded handgun with the serial number removed and a rifle. Deng and Kuol were scheduled to appear in court today in La Loche to face the long list of charges that can, also, be found in our on-line story.

one count, possession of a firearm with a tampered serial number;
one count, unsafe storage of a firearm;
one count, possession of a prohibited firearm;
one count, possession of a weapon obtained by crime;
one count, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000;
one count, tampering with serial number of a firearm;
two counts, careless use of a firearm;
two counts, possession of a firearm when knowing possession is unauthorized;
and one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Deng Deng is also charged with one count, weapons possession contrary to order.
Kuol Kuol is also charged with
four counts, fail to comply with release order conditions;
and one count, obstruct peace officer.
