A pair of University of Saskatchewan alumni have honoured the decade-long presidency of Peter Stoicheff with a generous gift.
Bob Xu and Ling Chen, who are dedicated philanthropists and proponents of USask, have chosen to support the USask School for the Arts in the College of Arts and Science with a $10-million donation.
Funds will be allocated specifically to the David L. Kaplan Chair in Music and strings program, theatre expansion, student supports, and curriculum modernization.
In a letter that accompanied the gift, Xu and Chen shared that they have a profound appreciation for Stoicheff’s leadership, dedicated service, and the education that transformed their lives.
Stoicheff will be stepping away from his role on December 31.
