Although the infection rates of COVID-19, Influenza and RSV have all risen in the past three weeks, there have been no severe outcomes reported according to the Province’s respiratory illness report.
COVID-19 test positivity has increased from 5.5 per cent to 6.8 per cent, and RSV test positivity increased from 1.3 per cent to 2.6 per cent. Influenza continues to rise in trace increments.
The report says calls to HealthLine 811 for respiratory illness have increased. No COVID-19 or influenza associated deaths have been reported in the last two weeks. Approximately 13 per cent of the population is vaccinated against COVID-19, and 19 per cent is vaccinated against influenza.
