Another suspect has been arrested and charged in connection to a homicide that took place last year and claimed the life of 30-year-old Tim Tootoosis.
A 26-year-old woman was arrested on Wednesday by members of the Saskatoon Police Service Warrant Enforcement Unit. She was charged with first degree murder, offering an indignity to human remains and unlawful confinement. She is in Saskatoon Provincial Court Friday.
While executing a search warrant on December 18th, 2024, police found Tootoosis dead in a home in the 1700 block of 22nd Street West.
Eight other people have been charged in the case including 43-year-old Destini Gardypie 38-year-old Rodrick Pierre Rabbitskin who are charged with first degree murder and unlawful confinement. Thirty-four-year-old Nakita Tootoosis is charged with manslaughter. And five other people are facing first degree murder charges: 22-year-old Emmery Aubichon, 45-year-old Vernon Peequaquat, 40-year-old Michael Landry, 27-year-old Michael McCallum and 41-year-old Donavan Lemstra.
