Fatal shooting from last week declared Prince Albert’s fifth homicide of 2025

The Prince Albert Police Service has declared a fatal shooting from last week to be the city’s fifth homicide of 2025.

A 16-year-old female was declared deceased at a residence in the 900 block of 12th Street West last Thursday morning.

A 17-year-old male who was arrested at the scene has been charged with breaching conditions. However, no further charges have been laid in relation to the homicide at this time.

The P.A. Police Service’s Major Crimes Unit (MCU) and Forensic Identification Section executed a search warrant at the residence where the fatal shooting occurred last Friday. The MCU continues to investigate and anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
