Four candidates were vying for three positions on the farmer-election SPG Board. Robyn Henry from Hodgeville and Stuart Lawrence from Rosetown were both re-elected, while Dan Flynn of Lucky Lake will be a newcomer to the SPG Board table.
SPG Board Chair Winston van Staveren says all three bring valuable experience from a wide range of growing regions across the province.
He also acknowledged outgoing board member Brad Blackwell who served three terms. “Brad served as SPG’s Board Chair and was a member of the Pulse Canada and Grain Growers of Canada Boards during his tenure.”
A total of 671 ballots were cast, with nearly all of them coming through the online voting platform. Each person was allowed to vote for up to three candidates. These are the official results:
Robyn Henry 571
Stuart Lawrence 506
Dan Flynn 338
Brennen Luck 247
The newly elected directors will begin their terms on January 13th during SPG’s annual general meeting during the Saskatchewan Crops Forum.
