From December 1 to March 31, green cart collection switches to monthly pick up.

The City of Saskatoon says colder weather may affect green cart collection because the waste inside could freeze to the cart.

The City of Saskatoon says to ensure your green cart is fully emptied during collection it suggests that you line your cart and layer your waste with recycled newspaper, paper bags or old pizza boxes. Set your cart out at every collection, even if it’s not full and if things get stuck or frozen then use a broom or shovel handle to loosen it off.
