Jason Pacik was arrested on November 26th in Saskatoon.
He is scheduled to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court on January 21, 2026. He was wanted in an ongoing fraud investigation.
In January of 2024, Saskatchewan RCMP’s Central District Priority Support Unit began their fraud investigation into Prairie Timber Group Limited, a Saskatoon-based timber home and custom structure business.
The investigation found that the business’s owner told victims he was associated with a reputable timber home company based in Ontario. Victims would sign contracts with the company and pay to have their projects built. Once payments were sent, victims did not receive the projects they paid for and could not contact the business.
As a result of the investigation, Pacik was charged on November 18th with one count each of fraud under $5000 and fraud over $5000.
