A 22-year-old Saskatoon man has been charged with impaired driving following an incident near the Airport on Friday.

At 4:00 p.m. police received multiple reports of a possible impaired driver swerving on the road and striking the curbs. Officers located the vehicle driving in the area of Airport Drive and Cynthia Street and attempted a traffic stop, which was unsuccessful.

The driver did not stop and continued driving erratically. Eventually, the driver pulled into a nearby parking lot, and while attempting to park, the driver struck a parked vehicle before then striking the police vehicle. The driver was arrested without further incident.

The man has been charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle, operating a vehicle being pursued by police, impaired driving, and exceeding .08.
