This is Vanese Ferguson with Coffee Talk. I don’t know why the first snowfall always seems to catch everyone off guard. I say that in context of driving in winter weather. It’s like it something no one ever tried or mastered in the past. Just drive to conditions. For instance, I left my alley this morning and made a point of hitting the brakes just to see how icy it is. Well, it’s icy. At least in the neighbourhood but once I hit the freeway all good. The Highway Hotline for the most part is a good resource, unlike years gone by where I’m sure many of you as well myself wondered what the point of it was. And the cameras on the Highway Hotline – I was checking those all day yesterday talk about a bird’s eye view of the roads. It’s the weekend, some folks are taking Monday off because Tuesday is a stat so if you have to be out and about take care out there. Oh, and the newspoll question about winter tires being mandatory. I don’t know if I think that’s necessary but please don’t let me hear one more person claim that winter tires don’t make a difference. Just say you can’t afford them. For heaven’s sakes.
Winter is here
