The sales were required as a condition of federal approval for the Bunge/Viterra merger.
Direct Grain Ltd. will operate the former Viterra elevator at Dixon, about six kilometres west of Humboldt.
Bunge says the sale of the Valparaiso elevator, ten kilometres west of Tisdale, is still waiting for approval from the Transport Minister. The approval is expected shortly, according to a company news release.
Another Saskatchewan elevator was sold but it was not part of the merger agreement. A facility at Eyebrow, about 70 kilometres northwest of Moose Jaw, was purchased by F.W. Cobs.
Bunge also sold elevators in Manitoba to a pair of companies. More information can be viewed here.
