Saskatoon Police Service say officers responded to a report of a group of youth fighting on a city transit bus around 9:30 p.m. Saturday night in the Riversdale neighbourhood.

Police were called to the corner of 20th Street West and Avenue J South where officers located an 18-year-old male and an 18-year-old female who had been assaulted and had a sweater and cell phone taken.

A suspect was located nearby, and the 19-year-old male is facing charges including two counts of Robbery as well as Breach of Probation. The two victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident is not believed to be random in nature.
