After a 1-0 overtime for the Saskatchewan Huskies last night, the Regina Cougars clawed back with their first goal of the weekend plus three more on their way to a 4-1 victory. The Huskies lone goal would come on the power play in the first period thanks to Bronwyn Boucher to tie the game up, but Quin McLaren would score her first career Canada West goal before the end of the first, the eventual game winner. Kaitlyn Gilroy added two more goals for Regina, one in each of the second and third period. Amy Swayze stopped 25 of 26 shots for the Cougars while Colby Wilson stopped 19 out of 23 shots. Both teams will have tough games ahead of them next weekend with Saskatchewan on the road to Manitoba while Regina will be home to U-B-C.
