Saskatoon Police continue to investigate a robbery from last month where a high school student was assaulted and robbed on the way to school.
Police say there were two suspects when the armed robbery took place on the Blairmore bikeway. One suspect is described as a white male with blond hair, 15 to 18 years of age wearing a red shirt. The other suspect is also described as a 15 to 18 year old male with light brown skin, black curly hair, grey or dark green hoodie.
The Saskatoon Police Service says officers responded to a school in the 100 block of Bowlt Crescent shortly before 9 a.m. September 18 after receiving a report of an attempted armed robbery and assault that had occurred minutes earlier nearby.
The School Resource Officer for Bethlehem/Tommy Douglas High Schools learned that a 16-year-old male had been walking to school on a pathway behind Langevin Crescent when he was approached by two unknown males. The suspects demanded the victim’s property and produced a knife; a brief struggle ensued, and the victim received cuts to his head as a result. The injuries were non life threatening.
