The Saskatoon Police Service has executed arrests from two separate incidents from earlier this year.
According to police news releases, one of the investigations wrapped up in September with the arrest of a 35-year-old man by the Warrant Enforcement Unit, charged with aggravated assault and breaching court-imposed conditions.
The incident occurred back on May 22 in the 100 block of Avenue P North when a male victim was pulled to the ground by an unknown male who bit the victim and struck him several times with a hammer before fleeing the scene.
The second arrest was of a 24-year-old man, charged with aggravated assault. Back on August 5, officers responded to the 3000 block of 20th Street West where they found a 49-year-old woman suffering from stab wounds. She was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
