Update: A 19-year-old woman has been identified and charged by the Saskatoon Police Service Serious Assault Unit following the stabbing that took place early in the morning of October 1st in the 100 Block of Avenue O South.
The woman was arrested by patrol the same evening and was subsquently charged with aggravated assault.
The Saskatoon Police Service is investigating five different stabbings that occurred over the course of three days.
The string of investigations began at around noon on Monday when a 56-year-old man went to St. Paul’s Hospital to seek treatment for a stab wound. Police learned that two people broke into the man’s home on Avenue V South and stabbed him before stealing his phone.
The second incident was reported later that day at 4:30 p.m. when a 53-year-old man came to the hospital after being stabbed and bear sprayed behind a convenience store in the 500 block of Avenue W South.
Tuesday around 1:00 a.m., a 51-year-old male was stabbed at 22nd Street West and Confederation Drive. The investigation began after the man went to the hospital at 9:00 p.m. the same day.
Two more incidents occurred early Wednesday morning and the first took place at around 1:00 a.m. when a woman was stabbed on Avenue O South. She was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The suspect left the scene before police arrived.
The final incident occurred around 3:00 a.m. on Idylwyld Drive North. A 21-year-old man was taken to hospital in stable condition following the incident.

The Saskatoon Police Service says is it not yet known if there are any connections between the stabbings at this time. There are suspects in two different files, and officers are attempting to locate them.
