Creighton RCMP have found and arrested 21-year-old Preston Saam-Ackegan.
On September 1st, there was a disturbance on Monday in a business in the community located about five hours northeast of Saskatoon, near the Saskatchewan/Manitoba border. RCMP say a woman was taken to hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
A 16-year-old girl was arrested later in the day and charged with assault causing bodily harm and breaking and entering with intent.
Saam-Ackegan was charged with the following offenses:
- one count, breaking and entering with intent, Section 348(1)(a), Criminal Code;
- one count, assault with weapon, Section 267(a), Criminal Code;
- one count, possession of weapon for dangerous purpose, Section 88(1), Criminal Code;
- one count, uttering threats against a person, Section 264.1(1)(a), Criminal Code; and
- three counts, fail to comply with probation order, Section 733.1(1), Criminal Code.
He was arrested on October 2 in Love, Saskatchewan. He is scheduled to appear in Creighton Provincial Court on November 25.
